TED Committee

We have successfully established New Zealand’s first Transport Efficiency District (TED) which is designed to bring together business and government leaders to plan, develop and promote an efficient and diversified transport system.

A TED Committee, consisting of representatives from NZ Transport Agency, Auckland Regional Transport Authority, North Shore City Council, North Harbour Business Association and local businesses, meets regularly and has established a strategic plan and a three year business plan.  We have developed a list of short term and medium term priorities for local roading improvements, including improving vehicle flows at key intersections through minor upgrades.  We’re also working with transport operators to improve local transport services, bus stop, cycling and pedestrian facilities.
